Triston Ezidore today announced his campaign for re-election to the Culver City Unified School District Board of Education, pledging to continue fighting for strong public schools, student achievement, and educational opportunity for every student.
“Public education is at a crossroads,” Ezidore said. “Families deserve leaders who will stand up for students, protect public education, and ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed.”
“I’m running for re-election to continue fighting for a school district that works for everyone.”
Since taking office, Ezidore has helped lead Culver City Unified through a period of major progress and investment in student success. Under his leadership, the district achieved record-high graduation rates, expanded student mental health supports, strengthened literacy and academic intervention programs, and increased investments in the arts, career technical education, and college-readiness opportunities.
Ezidore also helped lead the passage of Measure E, the district’s $358 million school facilities bond measure, to modernize campuses and invest in the long-term future of Culver City schools. Throughout his tenure, he has been a leading voice for educational equity, fiscal responsibility, and ensuring every student feels safe, supported, and empowered to succeed.
Ezidore’s re-election campaign is already earning support from a broad coalition of federal, state, and local leaders across California. U.S. Senator Adam Schiff calls Ezidore “exactly the kind of leader we need fighting for our students and our public schools right now,” praising his leadership as “the school board’s moral compass” and his commitment to defending educational opportunity, equity, inclusion, and working families.
Los Angeles County Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell praises Ezidore’s “unwavering commitment to educational equity for every student,” highlighting his advocacy for mental health resources, vulnerable students, and stronger school-community partnerships.
U.S. Representative Sydney Kamlager-Dove describes Ezidore as “a visionary leader” and “a courageous voice for equity,” citing his work to expand opportunity and support for underserved students.
Culver City Mayor Freddy Puza says, “Triston is the kind of leader every community hopes for,” and commends Ezidore’s “responsible leadership” and focus on ensuring school resources remain centered on classrooms and students.
Ezidore’s campaign will focus on improving student outcomes in math and literacy, protecting funding for public education, expanding pathways to college and careers, supporting student mental health and well-being, supporting teachers and school staff, and ensuring Culver City schools remain among the best in California.
“There’s still more work ahead,” Ezidore said. “I’m proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish together, and I’m ready to continue leading the fight for our students, educators, and families.”
